Our Golf Program

Links to Freedom provides ill and injured service members and their families, surviving spouses and their children the opportunity to rehabilitate and restore emotional, physical and social well-being through the game of golf.

The Links to Freedom Golf Program runs two sessions, spring and fall. Each session comprises eight (8) 2-hour classes, lunch and a small closing ceremony. There’s no cost for the participants. Links to Freedom utilizes golf as a vehicle to complement their therapy in a calm and serene environment.

We teach the fundamentals of the game, focus on control of motor skills, mobility and flexibility. Led by military, civilian, and PGA/LPGA volunteers, we help heal those service members and families who have paid a tremendous debt for our freedom. We work in tandem with other therapeutic organizations to ensure a path towards a holistic rehabilitation that includes family members and caregivers. Participants redefine and reestablish critical relationships while learning a sport they can play together for years.
