Planned Programs

Our Mission is to have an active Links to Freedom Program at every military installation that has a service member Recovery/Transition Unit. The ability to meet this goal is greatly dependent on funding and the need of our service men and women. We encourage our supports, alumni and current participants to share your experience with L2F and help educate others on the incredible differences are are making in the lives of our heroes.

What To Expect

When you enroll in the Links to Freedom Golf Program, you can expect to learn how to play golf, or build upon your skills as a golfer. To facilitate your growth in the game of golf, Links to Freedom provides several curriculum-based classroom learning sessions, PGA/LPGA led instruction, both on the practice facilities and the golf course. Additionally, your instructors will give you tools and goals for self-development thru an extensive everyday practice program. Finally, lifelong friendships and reconnections with family members and fellow service members will build resiliency within your personal journey. Our goal is to make your recovery as effective as possible, and to give you the wonderful opportunities golf provides…Welcome to the Links to Freedom family!

Classroom

Educational information regarding the Rules of Golf, playing etiquette, pace of play as well as opportunities to practice and play.

Practice Area

During the Clinics, participants spend time in three practice areas allowing for focused instruction by PGA/LPGA professionals. Fundamentals learned are then utilized on the course.

On Course

The ability to actually play on the golf course is a big part of the Program. Fundamentals learned can then be applied as well as prating pace of play and etiquette learned.

On Your Own

As a part of the Program, the ability to practice on your own is included. Driving range time and time on the practice chipping area and putting greens allows participants to enjoy and practice the skills they have learned in the Program.

PGA and LPGA Professionals

The Links to Freedom Golf Program is taught by PGA and LPGA Professionals that volunteer their time.

Lifelong Friendships

The L2F Program also focuses on the Mental and Social aspects of golf and the positive impacts. The lifelong friendships developed are second to none.
